Tracks You Might Have Missed Vol 2
As I hear the faint sounds of an adorable little tone deaf 5 yr. old sing Taylor Swift's "Ready For It?" for the 20th time today, I happily drown out TayTay with what Ava (my daughter) calls "daddy songs."
From across the pond Reading, UK's Thumbhole Records are releasing their 2nd compilation installment of 30 songs from rad artists all around the globe, entitled Tracks You Might Have Missed Vol. 2.
I blare those songs from across the hallway, the squeaking little voice wails at me, "Dad, I can't hear my music over that stuff, geez." (Is she my mother or my kid? It's high school all over again...)
This compilation is comprised of a variation of pop-punk, alternative, hardcore, metal and rock bands. The result of Thumbhole's campaign of bands to submit music from around the world and the result was staggering, in the hundreds to be exact. Narrowing those hundreds of submissions to only 30 awesome songs had to have been one of the toughest decisions EVER. I can't even decide what to eat on the menu at a restaurant, which is why I stick to the Chinese buffet, (it's a little bit of everything.)
