Trevor Strnad Vocalist of The Black Dahlia Murder Dies at 41.
Trevor Strnad, best known as the lead singer for the Michigan melodic death metal band The Black Dahlia Murder, has died according to a statement from the band. He was 41 years old.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Trevor Scott Strnad. Beloved son, brother, and Shepard of good times, he was loved by all that met him,” the group wrote in their statement. The band added that Strnad was “a walking encyclopedia of all things music. He was a hugger, a writer, and truly one of the world’s greatest entertainers. His lyrics provided the world with stories and spells and horror and whimsy. It was his life to be your show.”
It is unclear what the cause of Trevor's death was, however, the band concluded their social media post with the phone number for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
Trevor and Black Dahlia Murder guitarist Brian Eschbach founded the band in 2001 acting as the last remaining original members of the group with the lineup shifting several times throughout the years. The band dropped their first LP Unhallowed back in 2003 on Metal Blade Records which has been the band's label home since day one where they have since released eight more studio albums.
