ATREYU'S 'A DEATH-GRIP ON YESTERDAY' RETURNS TO VINYL FOR ITS 20TH ANNIVERSARY!
Atreyu's A DEATH-GRIP ON YESTERDAY turns 20 this year, which is either a reason to celebrate or a direct attack on every person who remembers hearing "Ex's and Oh's" in GUITAR HERO II. Craft Recordings is marking the anniversary with a new vinyl edition arriving October 30.
Released in 2006, the nine-song album became Atreyu's first Top 10 record, debuting at No. 9 on the Billboard 200. It pushed the band's metalcore foundation toward bigger hooks and arena-sized choruses without dropping the teeth that got them there in the first place.
The record includes "Creature," "Shameful," "The Theft" and "Our Sick Story (Thus Far)," along with the massive "Ex's and Oh's." It is short, sharp and packed with songs that helped define an entire era of eyeliner, breakdowns and MySpace profile rotation.
The 20th-anniversary pressing will be available on standard black vinyl, Fire Smoke vinyl through Craft Recordings and Blazing Yellow vinyl through Revolver. The 2006 soundtrack rarity "Her Portrait in Black," originally released on the UNDERWORLD: EVOLUTION soundtrack, has also returned to digital platforms.
The anniversary vinyl arrives October 30, 2026.
