JARET AND KELLY - Sittin' In A Tree ALBUM REVIEW
Jaret Reddick
Kelly Ogden
Jaret Reddick (Bowling For Soup) and Kelly Ogden (The Dollyrots) have been tour mates for around a decade now. On tour, they usually play a song together, and in the past have released an album called One Big Happy where they covered each other's songs, as well as released a 7" EP covering each other’s songs and recorded a duet called "Love Ya Love Ya Love Ya" that has been a fan favorite over the years.
The dynamic duo finally decided to record their first full-length album together after playing “Love Ya" on stage to a full house at London's Roundhouse.
Sittin’ In A Tree is a multi-genre mixing album of duets that runs a gauntlet of genres and emotions. There are songs on the album that that sound like Dollyrots music and Bowling For Soup music as well as songs influenced by modern alternative and pop-punk, to tunes that are almost country/folk sounding, and electronic beat-driven songs. Basically an album the whole family can enjoy.
Rather than do a traditional crowd-source project the band decided to make a special one-of-a-kind pre-order. By pre-ordering "Sittin' In A Tree" you instantly get an acoustic version of "Here We GO!”, the first song the two ever wrote for the album, along with more exclusive songs and treats along the way.
Some of the more awesome perks you get with the pre-order packages include: handwritten lyrics/ a house party acoustic show by the band/ Skype calls and much, much more. These exclusives will end once the pre-order expires so hop on board while you can or miss the boat entirely.
Jaret and Kelly’s duets album "Sittin’ In A Tree" was produced by Linus of Hollywood and will be out on March 22, 2019. SITTIN' IN A TREE PREORDER
