Don't let the name fool you. Racking up hundreds of shows all over the east coast and midwest since their inception, Providence, RI pop-punk quartet SENIOR DISCOUNT are everything far from the retirement home.

Sharing the stage with such acts as: Gym Class Heroes, Girl Talk, Boys Like Girls, The Bravery, Guttermouth, Less Than Jake, The Ataris, Leftover Crack, A Wilhelm Scream, the Street Dogs, Zox, Big D and the Kids Table, Darkbuster, The Swingin Utters, Rehab, Mickey Avalon, Streetlight Manifesto, the Bloodshot Hooligans,The Loved Ones, MC Lars, Suburban Legends, Patent Pending, The Toasters, The Pilfers, and the list goes on. The band's first LP "There Were Four Who Tried picked up positive reviews all of the US including AbsolutePunk.net and mash-up DJ Girl Talk.

The band gained popular notoriety with the likes of Warped Tour founder Kevin Lyman who in 2018 personally added the band to the Hardford CT Warped Tour date as well as appearing on "The Chuck & Brad" podcast, which features Senior Discount singer Chuck Staton & improv performer Brad Rohrer which discusses their lives as musicians, filmmakers, etc. Their past guests have also included Jeff Tremaine, Reel Big Fish, Bowling for Soup, Less Than Jake + many, many more.

In 2018 SENIOR DISCOUNT was signed to Vinnie Fiorelo of Less Than Jake's label Paper +Plastick Records for their newest album THE BEST REVENGE.

SENIOR DISCOUNT - AND THAT'S GOODBYE (LIVE ON THE RHODE SHOW)

Their latest LP THE BEST REVENGE is a throwback to bands like Fenix TX, Bowling For Soup, Pennyswise and Less Than Jake with fast hardcore punk beats, killer power chord progressions, with classic pop-punk, emotional filled lyrics and 1st and 3rd part harmonies. The guys threw a couple covers on the album including Bob Marley's Three Little Birds & Cyndi Lauper's Girls Just Wanna Have Fun. The band has this punk rock meets poppy attitude while at times slowing tunes down and getting super personal like in AFTERLIFE via THE BEST REVENGE. While tunes like NOTHING'S LEFT or ATAXIA pick it up and almost reminiscent of The Suicide Machines or Rancid while also throwing a loop for total early 90's throwback with songs like EXPLODE RHODE ISLAND and NEVER SAY FOREVER, reminiscent of bands like LTJ or Pennywise.
