Bristol, UK quartet Weatherstate have spent the handful of years touring and playing shows up and down the country, as well as in and out of mainland Europe. They released their ‘Dumbstruck’ EP in 2016 via Failure By Design Records, and teased their first full length with a ripper of a single ‘Rotten Lungs’ at the latter end of 2018.

Weatherstate’s sound takes you on a nostalgic journey back to the early 90's of punk and dawn of pop-punk all while incorporating a new energy that makes them all the more while to listen to in this modern era of punk rock.

The band have announced that their debut album ‘Born A Cynic’ will be released May 10 via Wiretap Records in North America and Failure By Design in UK/EU.

They’ve also revealed a new single from the record entitled ‘Brain Dead’, with a music video to go with which you can check out below!

Vocalist and guitarist Harry Hoskins goes on to say that the single “Brain Dead is a song about disconnecting your feelings from yourself and your surroundings but enjoying every minute of it. This was one of the first jams we wrote for the record and the breakdown stuck out as something new for us. It was cool to throw a bit of a spanner in the works.”
