WINONA FIGHTER Announce Sophomore Album Brutal & Extremely Underrated! Tour in 2027!

WINONA FIGHTER have announced their second album, Brutal & Extremely Underrated, arriving January 22, 2027 via Rise Records. The news comes with “LEECH,” a new single and music video directed by Hannah Hall. They’ve also announced a North American headlining tour that begins January 21 in Bentonville, Arkansas.

After last year’s My Apologies to the Chef, the Nashville trio went back to the garage to make this one. Bassist Austin Luther self-produced the 12-song record, while Coco Kinnon played drums across it. The band says the songs tackle insecurity, friendship, and the state of the world, with “BOMBS AWAY” and “LEECH” giving us the first look at what’s coming.
I caught Winona Fighter on this past year’s idobi Radio Summer School tour and interviewed them while they were out on the road. They already had the kind of live energy that makes you pay attention, so seeing a follow-up album and their own headlining run on the calendar is pretty damn exciting.
I f***ing love this record and I love that I got to make it (once again) DIY in a garage with my two favorite people.
— Coco Kinnon
The title comes from “SELF AFFIRMATIONS,” and the fractured cover art was created by Glen Martin Taylor. “LEECH” follows the earlier single “BOMBS AWAY”; its video is out now. Winona Fighter will close 2026 with Vans Warped Tour Orlando and a December show with Taking Back Sunday before taking the new record across North America.
