ANGELS AND AIRWAVES - "Kiss And Tell" SINGLE REVIEW

MOTIONLESS IN WHITE

ava 2

Angels & Airwaves announced their triumphant return over the summer dishing out new singles, a tour as well as signing to Rise Records who also homes bands such as Goldfinger, Knuckle Puck and and the Bouncing Souls, just to name a few.

Although there's no news of AVA releasing a record anytime soon, the band have still sported a few singles along the way to ease fan's anticipation with their first track REBEL GIRL with the lyrics video to a second single KISS & TELL that we finally got a full-fledged music video for.

KISS & TELL is as Angels & Airwaves as it gets. The song really takes it back to the We Don't Need To Whisper meets iEmpire days of the band, a melodically charged punk rock song with the signature delayed guitars and synth-based rhythm that only AVA can deliver. The song starts out as a paid homage to legendary classic rock giants The Beach Boys.

Lead singer/frontman Tom Delonge told Rolling Stone: “The beginning of the song is really an ode to the Beach Boys,” DeLonge said of the song. “It opens with three-part harmonies to create an introduction with multi-dimensionality. We wanted to create a sound that had electronic elements right alongside classic rock and pop punk melodic structures. Lyrically, this song is specifically about balancing on the edge of a razor blade. Doing something you’re not supposed to be doing, and although you might die while doing it, it’s still very much keeping you feeling alive.”
