Back To The Beach Festival - Huntington Beach, CA

Legendary Los Angeles radio station KROQ are teaming up once again with Travis Barker (blink-182) and John Feldmann (Goldfinger) for the 2nd annual Back To The Beach Festival. KROQ aren't new to throwing killer, kickass concerts from The Weenie Roast to Almost Acoustic Christmas shows, the LA radio station makes me envious to live on the east coast.

The 2 punk rock legends Feldmann and T.Barker aren't strangers to throwing "humdingers" of their own with blink-182's 2009 epic reunion tour featuring Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, Weezer, Taking Back Sunday, and All American Rejects, among others with John Feldmann the mastermind behind producing some of the greats punk rock and pop-punk albums ever made. The 2nd annual BACK TO THE BEACH FESTIVAL has kicked things up a notch from last year with not only the "dynamic duo" of Feldmann & Barker returning with Goldfinger, but blink-182 headlining the show. Also featuring: The Used, The Story So Far, Reel Big Fish, Anthony Green, Streetlight Manifesto, The Aquabats, Less Than Jake, The Wonder Years, Save Ferris, Story of the Year, plus more to be announced!

The all ages event will also feature lots of fun in and out of the mosh-pits for kids and adults of all ages.

The show is also definitely a family friendly atmosphere, hosting a "Lil' Punk Kidzone", a fun, all-inclusive place for kids 10 & under who are accompanied by an adult where the adults can still dip their toes in the water and catch some rays and punk tunes from 2 giant jumbo-tron screens.

The kids area will feature healthy food options and will give kids a place to play and engage while still being part of the festival experience. Also, kids 10 and under get in the show FOR FREE! For kids over 10 there will be beach games spread all over the festival for a chance to win prizes and even VIP upgrades as well as a carnival halfway through the fest with enough festival food trucks and craft beer for you to eat and drink like punk rock royalty.

Last year's festival was the first annual in what looked to be the beginning of an ongoing Huntington Beach tradition featuring a lot of the same activities and events, spanning bigger and better as the year's progressed with last year's featuring a different musical line-up including: 311, Goldfinger, Sublime, The Interrupters, The Aquabats, Fishbone, Less Than Jake and a ton more from the punk rock and ska community.
