Dropkick Murphys recently announced that they’ve parted ways with the Wasserman Music Group due to ties Wasserman had with sexually explicit emails in the Epstein files. Other artists like Chappell Roan, and Beach Bunny have also parted ways with the agency.
Casey Wasserman, the sports and entertainment executive who also owns the Wasserman Music Group, and is set to lead the Los Angeles’ 2028 Olympics organizing committee, is facing calls to step down from his music agency after his sexually charged emails surfaced in the Epstein files.
In an Instagram story on February 6, 2026, the band expressed sadness to leave their specific agents but stated they were gone because "the namesake of the agency is in the Epstein files", with Chappell Roan saying: “As of today, I am no longer represented by Wasserman,”… “I hold my teams to the highest standards and have a duty to protect them as well. No artist, agent or employee should ever be expected to defend or overlook actions that conflict so deeply with our own moral values.”
The emails were between founder Casey Waserman and Ghislaine Maxwell who is a major person in the Epstein files. More than 3 million files related to the Epstein investigation was released by the Department of Justice on Jan. 30. In those files, Wasserman, who launched the music agency in 1998, was found to have exchanged dozens of sexually explicit emails with Maxwell, who is now serving a 20-year prison sentence for sex-trafficking.
Over two decades ago, before the Epstein files were known to the public, it was reported that Casey Wasserman and his ex-wife Laura Ziffren, flew on Epstein’s plane on a mission to Africa in 2002, a trip that also included such influencing people as President Bill Clinton and actors Chris Tucker and Kevin Spacey.
Dropkick Murphys have been very clear on their political views in the past with their song “Citizen I.C.E.” featuring Harriet 617, as well as their open opinions about the president Donald Trump. The Dropkick Murphys are currently on their FOR THE PEOPLE…IN THE PIT tour with The Aggrolites and Haywire.
