This Brooklyn, NY indie-pop's band sound can only be described as in-comparison-to the way Mark Hoppus (blink-182) and Alex Gaskarth (All Time Low) described their indie-pop band Simple Creatres as "trash-pop." while the band describes their sound as "sad-pop".
The sound is sad, yet comforting, upbeat yet melancholy with bright neon pinks and somber blues. Hazy and dream-like, yet bursting with passion and energy, EXNATIONS is a fitting metaphor for the world in 2019 and future to come. Yea it's sad, but we're still dancing.
The band recently dropped their new single TETHER off of their sophomore EP "PINK HAZE" due out June 28th, 2019.
The tune has all of their indie influences from bands like The Cure to Death Cab with the combination and inner workings of upbeat pop and dare I say EDM sounding music. Sad lyrics plus upbeat pop make for a rollercoaster ride of emotion in these songs. If you don't believe me, check it out for yourself!
