ICE NINE KILLS Performs with REEL BIG FISH!

July 29, 2019

As they began a leg of their headlining "The Silver Scream" U.S. tour tonight back in the beginning of July in Peoria, IL, metalcore band ICE NINE KILLS debuted a live video and audio recording from their sold-out show at The Wiltern in Los Angeles, CA earlier this year in support of Falling In Reverse for their IT-inspired track, "IT Is The End." The performance features a special guest appearance from members of the legendary ska band Reel Big Fish. I had the opportunity to chat with lead singer/frontman Spencer Charnas on their tour with Falling in Reverse, check out that interview HERE!

I know what you're thinking, ska + metal = what? I imagine it goes together like peanut butter and bacon, you can't knock it if you don't try it. ICE NINE KILLS aren't shy to creative collaborations having featured members of the band(s) Finch, Fenix TX and Less Than Jake on album tracks as well as getting their start as a ska and pop-punk band before shifting gears in the direction of metal. The band collaborated with Less Than Jake on the song "IT is the end", the aforementioned song that Reel Big Fish guest spot on which is based on the movie IT. Less Than Jake provided the brass instrument section of the song to give it a "sinister, carnival, circus vibe".
