Ed Sheeran Reunites with ONE OK ROCK!
Back in February of 2019 Japanese pop-punk/ pop-rock band ONE OK ROCK announced they would be supporting singer/songwriter and pop phenomenon Ed Sheeran on his tour in Japan throughout April and May of 2019.
While on the road together, the band invited Sheeran into their studio to work on new music together as seen in this photo with the caption: “We had a studio session with Ed !!! In Thailand It was an amazing time!!!!He’s just full of talent #dynamicrecordingstudio #thailand.” via ONE OK ROCK frontman Taka Moriuchi shared on Instagram back in April at the time.
This past week the pop singer and rock band joined forces again on stage to perform “Wherever You Are” off of ONE OK ROCK's 2010’s Niche Syndrome per the singer’s request according to Billboard. He even sang some of the track in Japanese. Following their performance of the ONE OK ROCK track, Sheeran continued the live collab with his own song, “Shape Of You.”
Following the performance, the band shared photos with Sheeran on social media and thanked him for joining them on stage with Sheeran writing back on his Instagram story: “@10969taka pleasure sharing the stage with you man, you’re the best x” and “@oneokrockofficial love you guys, amazing show!” ONE OK ROCK will continue with their Japan run through December with remaining dates below!
