Hawthorne Heights Announces IS FOR LOVERS Festival!
If you‘re a fan of pop-punk or emo, then you know Ohio has always been for lovers due to Hawthorne Heights 2004 single “Ohio Is For Lovers” from their debut full-length studio album, The Silence in Black and White.
Well the love has expanded thanks to the aforementioned Hawthorne Heights announcement of their new festival known as “Is For Lovers”.
The three-stop, one day pop-punk and emo rock music festival was curated by the band which will bring together nearly 50 bands with shows in Kansas, Colorado, and of course, Ohio.
The first show is set to kick off on Aug. 27 at Wichita Kansas’ The Wave, with bands that will include Thursday, The Wonder Years, Laura Jane Grace, Story of the Year, Hot Mulligan, Emery, Real Friends, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus and more!
The second show is the very next day on Aug. 28th at Denver Colorado's Levitt Pavilion and will include the same bands as the previous days plus more!
The third date is set a few weeks later at Cincinnati Oho’s Riverbend Music Center with a three-stage setup for the day. Bands for the day will include Motion City Soundtrack, Descendents, Bayside, Senses Fail, New Found Glory, The Amity Affliction, The Wonder Years, Story of the Year, Knuckle Puck, Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Emery, Hawthorne Heights, Silverstein and more!
In addition to the music, each show will feature a “Dunk a Punk” dunk tank, local food vendors, local breweries in each city that will provide special festival beers, merch and more! Tickets are on sale now!
