TALLY HALL Return to the Blind Pig After 15 Years!

I probably wouldn’t have known Tally Hall had taken the stage again if my daughter Ava hadn’t burst into my room with the news. She found it while scrolling TikTok, woke me up, and hit me with, “Guess who’s back together?” One of my favorite bands, and my kid got to break the news to me. That’s a pretty damn good way to wake up.

And yes, it really happened. Tally Hall returned to the stage on October 22, 2026, for a sold-out “Secret Show” at the Blind Pig in Ann Arbor, Michigan. It was the band’s first live performance together in 15 years. If you heard the show was near Pittsburgh, that part of the rumor was off: this one happened in their old Ann Arbor stomping ground.

Rob Cantor, Zubin Sedghi, Andrew Horowitz, and Ross Federman played alongside longtime collaborators Casey Shea and Bora Karaca. Joe Hawley did not perform. According to an eyewitness account from Detroit Metro Times, they opened with “Good Day” and “Greener,” played songs including “Taken for a Ride,” “&,” and “Ruler of Everything,” and closed with a live “Mucka Blucka.” Yes, Ross wore a chicken costume for that last one. Some things are gloriously Tally Hall forever.

The lack of fan footage has an explanation, too. The Blind Pig listed the show as phone-free and prohibited photos and video. The attending reporter described fans locking their phones in Yondr pouches, while professional photographer Gabriella Csapo captured images from inside. So if you want a look at the night, the Metro Times photos are the place to start.

What gets me about this is the way the news reached me. Tally Hall had been part of my music world for years, and now Ava was excited enough to wake me up with it. That kind of shared excitement is exactly why I love doing this.

As for what happens next, Rob, Zubin, and Andrew spoke with Ann Arbor’s 107one the following day and hinted that a spring tour could happen. That is a possibility, not an announced run of dates. For now, the confirmed story is already a big one: Tally Hall played together again, in Ann Arbor, with a room full of fans who waited a long time for this night.
