Tom Delonge plays medley of blink/BCR songs.
Last week, Angels & Airwaves played their first show since 2012 at San Diego's Belly Up, a sold-out show to boot.
While AVA blasted through fan favorites like It Hurts, The Adventure, Everything Is Magic and their latest single Rebel Girl, frontman Tom Delonge took some time to get intimate with the crowd with a brief acoustic set where he played a medley of tunes from his former punk rock groups blink-182 and Box Car Racer. Tom played his verse plus chorus from the iconic blink-182 song I Miss You off of the band's 2003 self-titled album then jumped into the first verse and chorus of There Is off of Tom and fellow blink-mate Travis Barker's side-project Box Car Racer before finishing off with Aliens Exist, off of blink-182's breakthrough album Enema of the State which just celebrated its 20 year anniversary.
blink-182 has been touring the iconic album for its anniversary and played the song Aliens Exist for the first time since 2001. Though Delonge wasn't present, current guitarist/vocalist Matt Skiba took the reigns on the tune and back in April right before the band played the song, founding blink member Mark Hoppus proceeded to dedicate the song to Tom.
