ANTI-FLAG Announces Break Up on Patreon. Deletes All Social Media.
Pittsburgh punk rock legends ANTI-FLAG announced today that the band has disbanded. In a screenshotted post on the band's Patreon, the band went on to say: "Anti-Flag has disbanded. The Patreon has been switched into a mode where it will no longer charge the monthly fee. I will begin to process refunds to all Patrons in the coming weeks. Once all refunds are processed the Patreon page will also be removed."
Along with the announcement on Patreon, the band has also deactivated all of their social media pages including their official website. Bassist and vocalist Chris #2 of the band have also deactivated all of his social media accounts, although A-F Records, the band's label is still active. Nobody from the band has yet issued a statement but it's pretty clear that Anti-Flag has called it quits and it's only a matter of time before an official announcement is made.
It's also left to wonder if Anti-Flag's yearly ANTIFEST will still happen, which is scheduled to come to The Roxian Theatre on Saturday, December 16th in the band's hometown of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Scheduled headliners are Anti-Flag along with the Bouncing Souls, Strike Anywhere, and more. The band also recently dropped a new album this year entitled LIES THEY TELL OUR CHILDREN where their latest single "THE FIGHT OF OUR LIVES" features Tim McIlrath of Rise Against and Brian Baker of Bad Religion/Dag Nasty.
