THE EUNUCHS - "Opiate Romance" SINGLE REVIEW

EUNUCHS

The Reverend Eddie Brown Nash(Hole) NewBold Deacon Chris Randolph

sex before suicide

This grunge/punk trio from Pulaski, Illinois known as THE EUNUCHS recently released their latest single OPIATE ROMANCE via their forthcoming EP SEX BEFORE SUICIDE August of 2017.

The album is the band's first recorded album featuring 7 tracks all with their own significant identity ranging from subgenres stemming from punk, grunge, hardcore, postcore and a dabble of pop-punk.

Tunes like CAUSTIC EMOTION have a really unique spoken word story to a good 1/2 of the song reminiscent of Suicidal Tendencies where the end of the song kicks your damn head in with straight hardcore punk.

Tunes like DRAGONFLIES & CHANGE are a combination of early hardcore punk bands like Circle Jerks & U.S. Bombs with with real early versions of pop-punk like the Descendants featuring heavy crescendo guitar intros into hard-hitting punk rock drum beats.

Their single OPIATE ROMANCE as well as openinig track SELL ME SOMETHING is very much a throwback to early grunge back in Nirvana's beginning combined with hardcore and punk bands like The Damned and Dag Nasty with the old school droney, meaningful sound of grunge meeting the fast pace beats of hardcore punk music.
