The Used Announces Tour Releases New Single "Blow Me"

Earlier last week, The Used made a post on all of their social media that simply said "12/6 The Used" with a link to the band's website followed days later with another post, a teaser of the band's new song Blow Me which features Jason Aalon Butler of Fever 333, an alternative punk band rooted in hip hop.

Blow Me is a rollercoaster of a song. The song opens up with a "breakdown feeling" intro with verses that are crazy intricate with a lot going on which is something that I have always felt is a staple in a Used song and gives the band their unique sound. The verse kicks into a big open straight forward chorus with catchy as hell lyrics. The tune dips and weaves through another verse and chorus and gets crazy with another big breakdown feeling bridge with a lot of emotion and screaming going on that kicks in to another chorus closing out with a big breakdown that slows down to a halt like a rollercoaster coming to a dead stop.

It's like nothing I've ever heard from the band yet it sounds so familiar because something that I've learned with over 15 years of listening to this band is to expect the unexpected and Blow Me definitely delivers on that message.

On top of the new single, the band released a series of North American tour dates to come in 2020 with supporting act Dragged Under. The Used kicks off their first tour of 2020 on Jan. 21st in Solona Beach CA, hitting major cities along the way like Chicago, Philadelphia, Dallas, and Salt Lake City while finishing off at the tail end of February in Arizona.
