BACK GARDEN LIGHT - The Right Side SINGLE REVIEW
Max Desgarnier - Vocals Hugo Tim Peix - Drums Tom Saulnier - Bass / Vocals Keyvin Nominé - Guitar
A little under a year ago, Bordeaux, France easycore/pop-punk band BACK GARDEN LIGHT dropped their forthcoming single Jumping Fences who was also interviewed and featured on TPPD site. You can check that interview OUT HERE!
The French quartet is back with a brand new single release, just as hard as the last, entitled THE RIGHT SIDE. The Right Side, speaks of the duality present in any decision that may occur in their lives. Nothing is completely good or completely bad. Any action involves both good and bad consequences. By writing this song, they encourage the listener to be more open-minded, sometimes in an ironic way when they ask the question: "Are you sure you're on the right side?”
The tune has all of the pop-punk/easycore quirks with a couple of sick "of their own" nods dropped in the tune. With these sick little, punchy, staccato riffs in the beginning of the tune, synth/ techno parts splattered throughout the song, the tight meshy vocal harmonies and the breakdown tune make up the formula of the song that makes it a Back Garden Light song.
