Internet Loses It Over "Dad Rock" Album
If you've been alive at some point in the last 30 years, you must know of the "Now That's What I Call Music" series. If not, here's the lowdown for you rock dwellers, it's basically a compilation album of the biggest Billboard rock, hip-hop, and pop songs all in one record. From time to time the "Now" series, which is now on its 107th edition, likes to release a special edition compilation which in the past has included everything from hits from the 70's to Christmas songs.
The 59 track 3-disc special edition known as "NOW That's What I Call Dad Rock" which was released in 2018 is now making viral rounds on the internet due to the tracks featured on the album. The multi-generational compilation album has been making rounds on the web since January 24th with many raising eyebrows as to why bands like Sum 41, blink-182, Wheatus, The Killers, and Avril Lavigne are now considered "Dad Rock" while also featuring bands like U2, Aerosmith, ZZ Top and Whitesnake. I guess we can all now officially say "Well I guess this is growing up."
