ME & THE CAPTAIN - What If's SINGLE REVIEW

a crash republic

pirate

What's as punk as punk can get? Pirates of course. With a sound self-described as "theatrical metal", Southern California's ME & THE CAPTAIN is a swashbuckling, slam dance, pirate themed band blending elements of pop-punk, easy-core and metal.

These lads have been "hitting the seven seas" since 2010 and have an insanely awesome gimmick that follows them all the way to their live stage shows. They have swords, they have a ship, they have Seamen, and they have an archenemy called The Rabbit, "silly rabbit, Trix...nevermind." ME & THE CAPTAIN cover a number of past hit tunes including the likes of LMFAO and Ylvis (What Does The Fox Say?).

ME AND THE CAPTAIN - PARTY ROCK (LMFAO COVER)

Their latest single WHAT IF'S features Richard Rogers of SECRETS, which is an awesome dynamic for the band with Richard's high range vocals in contrast to the rest of the band's heaviness. The guys have a sound similar to Chunk! No, Captain Chunk! and Four Year Strong with that techno vibe that bands like Attack! Attack! possess. It's heavy, intricate and chuggy as hell. Check it out below!
