Naked Raygun Release New Single/Video "Broken Things"
Chicago's legendary punk rock band NAKED RAYGUN recently dropped a new single and music video for "Broken Things" from their forthcoming album "Over The Overlords" via WAX TRAX! RECORDS.
Over The Overlords is the first record out by the band in over 30 years and is the final record to feature the Naked Raygun's late great longtime bassist Pierre Kezdy who tragically passed away due to cancer in late 2020 following the completion of the album.
The video itself is a collage of the band's history featuring an overall lyric video containing clips of old band flyers that come to life with lyrics mixed with some classic live performances from the Chicago legends.
The band went on to say about the video: "The lyric video for "Broken Things" is a nod to our past by using original images and footage from the 80s and 90’s while embracing the present and future through the music."- Naked Raygun
With over four decades under their belt and still running, Naked Raygun is one of the most influential and important punk bands to come out of Chicago and is credited with creating that signature "Chicago sound" and have been a pivotal role in the creation of bands like Fall Out Boy and Alkaline Trio.
Over The Overlords LP consists of 11 new songs with the CD format containing two bonus tracks: A remix of “Living In The Good Times” by Paul Barker and an unreleased live version of “Knock Me Down”.
OVER THE OVERLORDS is available now on all streaming services as well as CD and vinyl via Was Trax! Records.
