Together since late 2017, the Liverpool, UK quintet OVERSET wasted no time diving head first into the scene with their first single THE FUTURE IS NOW, OLD MAN! via their debut EP "Waiting for the Rain to Stop."
Inspired by artists such as The Wonder Years and Four Year Strong, OVERSET came together through a love of all things pop-punk and an appreciation for the ways their influences have helped them in their own individual lives while writing tunes full of tight guitar riffs and honest, relatable lyrics.
THE FUTURE IS NOW, OLD MAN! is an awesome reflection on OVERSET's personality as a whole. The tune is fast paced, featuring distorted harmony guitars fueled by emotion in every lyric down to the gang vocals.
If their single doesn't tickle your fancy check out opening title to "Waiting for the Rain to Stop", BETTER EVERY DAY. The tune reminds me of a Boston Manor tune combined with State Champs due to the level of emotion and spectating the lyrics in the tune as the focal point and forefront along with a splash of Four Year Strong given the dueling trade-off lead vocal parts.
