BLAMING YOU - "Welcome to Life" ALBUM REVIEW

Donald Scully - Vocals, Guitar

Michael Stearns - Guitar

Gerry Carter - Bass

Murtaza Sajjad - Drums

After leaving other bands, the assembly of this San Francisco quartet in 2017 formed the melodic pop-punk quartet now known as BLAMING YOU.

The band just debuted their first EP in March, 2018 entitled WELCOME TO LIFE recorded at The Voice Box Studios Concord, CA.

WELCOME TO LIFE offers up 5 tracks of straight punk rock "in your face" attitude. Songs like EP title track: "Welcome to Life" remind me of old school Alkaline Trio, or DKM. Maybe it's because singer/guitarist Don Scully has a raspy voice and kinda sounds like Al Barr to me. Either way, I get this: Throwback Circa 2003; THUG (that's Tony Hawk's Pro Skater for you neWbz) feel from BLAMING YOU, as if their songs are begging to be part of those BMX and skating game soundtracks.
