My Chemical Romance Reunite!
This is not a test of your emergency broadcast systems, this is the real thing! New Jersey pop-punk killjoys My Chemical Romance have announced their first live performance in over half a decade.
Only an hour after mysteriously teasing a bunch of cryptic logos on social media, My Chemical Romance have announced that they’re going to be playing their first gig in seven years this coming December, one hell of an early Christmas gift if you ask me!
The band took to social media just hours ago changing all of their profile pics to a candle then took to Twitter, posting the news on Twitter, the band shared "Like Phantoms Forever..."
Though this is big news to shock the rock world and get all the emo kids gitty, it’s still not clear as to weather or not My Chemical Romance are now reuniting for the first of many shows to come or simply just a huge, epic one-off. Though it lets one to speculate why they turned down the opportunity to play the 25th Anniversary Vans Warped Tour as owner/founder Kevin Lyman took to Twitter saying that he reached out to the band but they declined.
Given MCR's mega festival status before they called it quits back in 2013, they could quite easily pick up right where they left off 7 years ago. For now though, you can catch MCR in their monumental return with an intimate show in Los Angeles on December 20th at the Shrine with tickets available tomorrow.
