Coronavirus Outbreak Causes Numerous Bands to Cancel Tour!
Unless you've been living in a cave bogarting all of the toilet paper, then you're probably aware of the COVID-19 outbreak better known as the Coronavirus that has spread like wildfire across planet Earth.
With thousands of people across the globe being diagnosed with COVID-19, organizers of music festivals and concerts are being forced to assess whether or not to hold their scheduled tours and events as planned. Among the first biggest events to be scrapped in the US is the SXSW or South by Southwest Festival in Austin TX, which hosts some of the biggest Movie, Music and Comedy acts of the year all in one place. The second to be postponed was the annual Coachella Festival in California which has been rescheduled for October.
Among these festivals are a number of artists that have either postponed or canceled tour due to the coronavirus outbreak including the likes of Green Day, Avril Lavigne, Slipknot, Pearl Jam, Poppy, My Chemical Romance, The Who, and BTS who have canceled or postponed their entire Asian or European tours with the likes of Mariah Carey, Bad Religion, Alkaline Trio, Bowling For Soup, Circa Survive, Billie Eilish, and Justin Bieber canceling their North American Tour dates with Live Nation itself planning to scrap all domestic and international tours through the end of March on.
