Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 20th Anniversary

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater

To quote the legend himself Tony Hawk, "I can't believe it's been 20 years since the first THPS game was released". The iconic game started its own genre in gaming dropped on August 31st 1999 and featured the best skaters while introducing the world to an incredible punk rock soundtrack. Each game was jam packed with artists including bands like Goldfinger, Dead Kennedys, The Vandals, Primus and more on just the first THPS game alone while letting you control some of the world's top skaters.

In celebration of the 1999 release of Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, Hawk recently put on a benefit concert to celebrate the game's 20th anniversary on June 9 at The Observatory North Park. The concert featured legendary punk rockers Bad Religion with special guests "Birdman" a THPS soundtrack cover band.

Proceeds from the concert will benefit the Tony Hawk Foundation, which aims to build skateparks and create skateboarding programs in support of youth in low-income communities. If you missed the event and still want to donate to the Tony Hawk Foundation, you can in the links below.
