UMBRELLA ACADEMY Season 2 Finishes Filming!
That's a wrap! Season 2 of Netflix's The Umbrella Academy is officially done filming. Netflix announced in spring of 2019 that they renewed the comic book adaptation for a 2nd season which is the creation of My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way as well as Gabriel Ba.
The season 2 shoot lasted six months in Toronto with brand new episodes expected to release in 2020. The cast in crew revealed in a series of social media posts that season 2 is officially done shooting.
"And just like that, Ben and I are headed home," wrote Justin H. Min, who plays Ben Hargreeves. "A huge thank you to our cast and crew, who've become a second family to me the last six months; I’ll miss seeing your beautiful faces everyday.""And Toronto, I fall more in love with you every year — especially when I can run away right before winter gets bad. I can't wait for you guys to see what we’ve been working on. Season 2 is gonna be wild."
For Now you can check out Season 1 of The Umbrella Academy on Netflix and get pumped for the 2020 return of not only Season 2 but My Chemical Romance.
