Woodstock 50th Anniversary Lineup Revealed

rbf bfs

Jay-Z, Miley Cyrus, The Killers, Chance The Rapper, Halsey, and Santana among others will headline the 50th anniversary for what some would arguably consider the first great American music festivals, Woodstock.

The original concert from 1969 brought together 3 days of peace and love which gave performances by Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead, Santana, The Who and one of the most iconic and memorable performances from the late great Jimi Hendrix. The festival went on to have latter anniversary festivals in 1994 and 1999 which showed the likes of Aerosmith, Metallica, Green Day and The Red Hot Chili Peppers in 1994 and bands like James Brown, The Offspring, Bush, Limp Bizkit and Rage Against the Machine in 1999.

The festival this year for the 50th anniversary will be heading home to the original farm where it all began in New York. Watkins Glen is located in the Finger Lakes, about 80 miles southwest of Syracuse and 150 miles northwest of the original Woodstock site in Bethel, N.Y. Woodstock organizer Michael Lang previously said the festival will be centered around The Glen racetrack with three main stages on the 1,000-acre lot. The site was previously used for Summer Jam in 1973, drawing 600,000 but Lang said the 2019 Woodstock concert will have about 100,000 tickets to prevent traffic and other issues.

Tickets go on sale April 22, according to woodstock.com. Prices have not been announced. Camping packages are expected to be offered. Full line-up below.
